This brass snake bangle was painstakingly hand carved in wax, and cast using the lost wax casting method. The delicate snake holds a 2.5mm black spinel in its mouth. The snakes head meets its tail, creating the focal point of the piece, but also serves the practical purpose of clasp.
The bangle can be put on as a traditional bangle, or the clasp can be opened which allows the bracelet to slip over a larger hand. It can also be opened, twisted slightly, and put on over the wrist, like a cuff.
